“Always outstanding!” declares The Columbus Dispatch of soprano Treva Foss. Ms. Foss recently made her New York City operatic debut singing First Lady in Le Comte d’Ory followed shortly by Clotilde in Norma. Her rich voice and captivating stage presence has garnered praise from other roles she has recently sung such as Gertrude in Hansel and Gretel, Fiordiligi in Così fan Tutte, Violetta in La Traviata, Noëmie in Cendrillon, Crobyle in Thaïs and the world premiere of the opera Socrates as The Woman of Athens.
On the concert stage, Ms. Foss has premiered several new works including Requiem for 9/11 and Silence a song cycle for soprano and baritone. She often performs as a soloist with orchestras throughout the country in works such as Messiah, Stabat Mater (Pergolesi), Gloria(Vivaldi, Thoms), Mass in G (Schubert), Little Organ Mass (Haydn) and Four Last Songs (Strauss).
Ms. Foss completed her first recording project of American sacred music. The CD features music of Duke Ellington and John Carter. The music contains a mixture of classical and spirituals that complement her artistry and range.
